Love, me - A very special series because it is my very first series. Created between 2001 and 2003 these paintings explore color, shape and texture. I use rice paper, distressed the mediums, and added sparkle. A crackle technique is unique to my work and is part of this series to reinforce the notion that we often try to present ourselves as perfect as possible. And yet most us are a bit flawed. But that’s ok because the cracks in our lives are what make us unique. Each painting has the words, “Love, me” represented someway, often easily seen and at times it may take a closer look to find the words. These painting represent an open love letter to myself. With their bright colors these paintings will hopefully provide a moment of happiness and intrigue to the viewer. The 18” x 24”originals are not for sale, but Giclee are available.
